From 18 to 26 September, San Sebasti\u00e1n hosts a new edition of its International Film Festival, one of the city\u2019s most important cultural events of the year. For nine days, cinemas, theatres and iconic venues host premieres, encounters and screenings that transform the atmosphere of Donostia.<\/p>\n
The 74th edition once again features an extensive programme, with the Official Selection alongside sections such as New Directors, Horizontes Latinos, Zabaltegi-Tabakalera, Perlak, Zinemira, Culinary Zinema and Klasikoak.<\/p>\n
But Zinemaldia is also experienced beyond the cinemas. During these days, the city takes on a different rhythm: the Kursaal, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and much of central San Sebasti\u00e1n become the heart of the Festival, while streets, terraces and restaurants fill with visitors and film industry professionals.<\/p>\n
Staying just outside San Sebasti\u00e1n allows you to combine the Festival with a more peaceful stay, especially after a day of screenings and activity in the city.<\/p>\n
From Gamongoa, you can easily head into Donostia to experience the atmosphere of Zinemaldia and then return to a setting surrounded by nature, away from the bustle of the city centre. A different way to enjoy these days: cinema and city life when you feel like it; peace and relaxation at the end of the day.<\/p>\n
The Festival continues until Saturday, 26 September<\/strong>, when the awards for this year\u2019s edition will be announced.<\/p>\n
